Meet Scott Mckay

Owner and Textile Specialist

 

 

Scott has been involved in the textile care industry since 1989 and started his own company in 2002. For the past twenty years His constant strive for perfection and thrill of new challenges has lead him to specialize in the most challenging field of textile care, which is natural fiber fine fabrics. Going where most textile cleaners fear to go (or have no business going at all). Knowing both when and how to be a finesse cleaner and when to be a power cleaner are an invaluable must when it comes to high value fine furnishings.

Scott admits he is part of the textile care nerd club. His shop is full of fabrics and carpet samples that he is always conducting various tests on.

Scott loves to travel the country to different educational or trade related events. His latest more notable travels have been to a Mikey''s Fest Ronald McDonald House charity cleaning event that he had the opportunity to clean Viscose velvet sofas with his mentor Jim Pemberton.

Scott wouldn’t miss the Woolsafe Organization’s most recent visit to the States with Agnes Zsednai and Steve Bakker. Scott attends all the Vegas trade shows where you can find him glued to the chemists picking their brains. His favorite travel to date was to beautiful Pittsburgh Pennsylvania to attend Jim Pemberton’s hands on Fabric Pro Specialist workshop.

Scott enjoys being a part of two of the best networking communities. The Fiber ProTector Distributors Group and Jim Pembertons Fabric Pro Specialists Alumni. These groups provide discussion on the latest textile trends from around the world and the hurdles of servicing them.

Scott is a Master Textile Care Specialist having certifications from the IICRC,  The Woolsafe Organization, and Jim Pemberton’s Fabric Pro Specialist course.

Meet Clint Barnes

Customer Care Specialist

 

Clint has been in the customer service arena for over 40 years and truly enjoys serving his clients. He has been in the carpet cleaning and upholstery care business for over 12 years. He has developed and retained a distinct clientele as he joined with Scott in 2017 to form Prestige Fabric Care.  His expertise lies in customer care with values based on hard work, honesty and going the extra mile for his customers. He believes in growing the business through fair pricing and exceptional service.

 

Clint has been spraying protection treatments for luxury textiles for over a decade. He has sprayed  thousands of yards of Fabrics, Rugs and Carpet. He has an eye for those delicate and highly adsorbent textiles where applying the correct amount of spray to a textile is critical.

Scott and Clint share the same business values and are excited about serving their clients along the Wasatch Front. 

Hobbies

Whether on a jobsite, a Golf Course, or playing in the Mountains with the kids, these two know how to enjoy their time. They both enjoy all the great outdoor activities that Utah has to offer.
